The Canadian Voting and Policy Attitudes (CVPA) project is led by a team of three based at Western University and the University of Calgary. The dataset was built with support from an SSHRC Insight Development Grant (430-2023-00595).

Project Team

Tyler Romualdi is the CVPA project director. He is the Skelton-Clark Postdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Political Studies at Queen’s University. His research focuses on Canadian and urban politics, with a particular emphasis on the welfare state and the historical development of individuals’ policy attitudes. His work is published in journals such as the Canadian Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion, and Parties, and the European Journal of Political Research.

Dave Armstrong is Professor and Canada Research Chair in Political Methodology in the Department of Political Science at Western University. His methodological research focuses on measurement and scaling, and he has taught at the ICPSR Summer Program since 2006. His work has been published in journals such as the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, and the Canadian Journal of Political Science.

Jack Lucas is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Calgary. His research focuses on political representation, public opinion, and voting behaviour in Canadian politics, with a particular interest in local and urban politics. He also co-directs the Canadian Municipal Barometer and is Canadian co-PI of POLPOP-II.
